I started my professional career on Wall Street. Coming from a military family, I enlisted in The United States Marine Corps and worked with CH-46E “Battle Phrog” helicopters. During my enlistment, the squadron participated in Combined Joint Task Force – Haiti/ 8, deployed to the Anbar Providence of Iraq and returned to assist Hurricane Katrina survivors.
Transitioning to New York City, and careers in the military, I served as an Inspector – Instructor with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program & corporate social responsibility programs with various Fortune 500 companies.
Earning an honorable discharge, I returned to the financial services industry and took a leave of absence to complete my degree and was introduced to social entrepreneurship.
Multiple ventures have led me to work both domestically and abroad with various types of institutions and industries.
I serve on several non - profit roles with international organizations where I have set modules to inspire and highly impact the communities where I live and work. Am personally grateful for each day!
Coming from humble beginnings in Brooklyn, I credit my success to a New York City public high school with its focus on business, a prominent start at a prestigious firm on Wall Street that emphasized that their people are their biggest assets, and The United States Marine Corps, where principles, values and traits were richly instilled.
I challenge you to join me in civically changing the world, one day at a time!
